I have started a new inquiry with Katie Mroczkowski. We're doing printmaking. we have a small print of a sunflower so far that's about 2" tall. We aren't using linoleum, we use this blue material that's similar to an eraser. It's much easier to cut and work with. So far we have one other sketch of a tea pot that we are going to transfer to print after the sunflower. The plan is to use the stamp on clothing mainly, but we may do some artistic things with it on paper. The tea pot is made specifically for T-shirts.

I have started a new project where I am whittling a Gandalf style, long stemmed pipe. There were many options for the type of wood that I would use. I went with a burl that I had already made of beech wood. This is a very hard wood with hopefully nice grain. I started out using whittling tools, carving knives and scoops, which worked well but very slowly. I eventually started to use an electric dremel which works much faster and removes a ton more material. so far I am only working on the bowl piece. I will need a different piece of wood to make the stem.
